What is Bournemouth One?

We are a new service available on our website, app, social feeds, and all your smart devices (Alexa, SIRI, etc) bringing you local news, events and traffic information, all in real-time, without the clutter.

Bournemouth One is playing what we consider the best songs on the radio from the 80s to today, along with a once-an-hour "Classic One" and "New One" to mix things up a little.

We're lovin' Bournemouth - but our news and information coverage includes Christchurch and Poole, plus surrounding towns in east Dorset.

As we are currently exclusively online, we know how many people are listening, and in Q2, 2024, we attracted over 12,500 unique listeners each month. We are really pleased to be reaching so many people so early in our journey, and with the possibility of DAB carriage in the near future, the future is positive.

Every 20 minutes we bring you two minutes of real-time local information - what's on today, the traffic and roadworks happening right now, what's the weather doing and what's coming soon. Plus updates on sport, business moves, showbiz info and surf conditions.

We don't have DJs or long advert breaks. You can expect around 55 minutes of music per hour - and you can contact us via this page, or download our app to send us a voice note for us to play on the radio.
